Ready for the UK Olympics
When the Olympic Committee announced unexpectedly that London would be the home of the 2012 Olympic Games we began building the Tourism Intelligence resources needed to track, advise and follow every aspect of the UK effort, and the associated tourism benefits and risks.
The Beijing Olympic Games were truly "World Class" and will be difficult to eclipse, for their organization, media and sheer visual power. The United Kingdom, in the middle of a debilitating Recession, and hemorrhaging from fighting alongside the US in two wars, half a world away has taken up the Olympic Torch for 2012. Will it result in accolade or a failure for the world to see in real time?
The problem is that the United Kingdom is strapped for cash, embroiled in a distant war against Muslims, and with a large, often militant Islamic population, many who would love to disrupt the Games. The UK needs all the help it can get!

No matter how fragmented and disjointed the logo of the London Olympics appears our efforts towards Olympic-class tourism intelligence coverage have been seamless in their development.
The London Olympics offer a huge challenge, outstanding opportunities for tourism and hospitality, and a nightmare for security and threat intelligence.
We started early in the countdown towards the 2012 Olympics, and in the months ahead will be working with many hospitality and tourism leaders around the world to bring analysis and reporting to ensure a memorable follow on the Beijing.
Our primary focus is on tourism opportunities, but as always we will be monitoring and evaluating threats and risks. Comlinks will be the most technologically sophisticated tourism intelligence service covering the Olympics, and UK Tourism.
