A partnership between Africom and Lockheed Martin that expects to have a geo satellite (cost $650 million) operational by 1999. Few details are available. The service was expected to be operational by 1999.

The project was created to address the business market, perceived to be starved of terrestrial capacity. The service offered was to be mobile telephony using handheld sets.

In 2002 there were no details on Africom.
